Mr. Calvin Stevens

Plum Branch, SC:  Mr. Calvin Stevens, 65, of 667 Gilchrist Road, the husband of Janie Warren Stevens, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA.

He was born in Edgefield, SC, on September 17, 1952, son of the late Eddie and Nellie Tolbert Stevens.  He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist and a retired employee textile worker retiring from Matthews Mills.

He is survived by; his wife, Janie W. Stevens of the home; two daughters, Sharon Stevens and Sabrina Stevens both of Beech Island, SC; siblings, Julia Gilchrist and Hattie J. (Dale) Mursier both of Plum Branch, SC, Rosa L. (Willie) Freeman, Corneila (Curtis) Freeman, Grant Stevens and Joseph Stevens all of McCormick, SC, Louise Landrum and Willie Stevens of Edgefield, SC, Suzannah (Rev. Eddie) Freeman and Milton (Willie Lee) Stevens, Sr. of Greenwood, SC and Reggie (Deborah) Stevens of Jonesboro, GA; one uncle, Mr. James (Buddy) Cartledge, Sr. of Plum Branch, SC; He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and sorrowing friends.

He was preceded by five brothers, Marion Stevens, Sr., Edward Stevens and Eddie Stevens, Sr., James Stevens, Sr., Edward Stevens, Eddie Stevens, Jr. and Robert Lee Stevens.

Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Monday, at Liberty Spring Baptist Church with Reverend Eddie Freeman -Eugolist, Reverend Jimmy Gilchrist - Presiding, assisting will be Reverend Henry Merriweather, Reverend Melvin L. Gordon, Reverend Joseph Caldwell and Minister Rose Fernanders. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Plum Branch, SC. The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon.

Viewing will be Sunday 12/10/17 2:30-8 p.m. at the funeral Home..
