Mr. Eugene Washington, Jr.

Ninety Six, SC:  Mr. Eugene Washington, Jr. 34, of 2606 Old Ninety-Six Highway, the husband of Santoria Johnson Washington, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, in Self Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Greenwood, SC, son of Eugene and Sophie Abney Washington. He was a member of Young Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Eugene attended Ninety-Six High School. He was a former employee of Hardee's. Big Gene was highly loved, respectful, kind hearted, and very strong.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Santoria J. Washington of the home; his parents, Eugene and Sophie Washington of Ninety-six, SC; sisters, Yolanda (Sterling) Smalls, Anderson, SC, Francine Washington, Ninety-Six, SC and Ashley Washington (Don), Clinton, SC; three nieces, Madison, Olivia and Brooklyn, two Godchildren, maternal grandfather, John Abney, NInety-Six, SC; aunts, uncles; and other relatives and sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.

A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Young Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
