Mr. Maxie Lee (Maxitel) Coleman

Saluda, SC: Mr. Maxie Lee (Maxitel) Coleman, 70, of 174 Stevens Road, passed away on December 4, 2017, in Self Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Saluda County, son of the late Eddie Coleman and the late Emma Bell Stevens Coleman Carroll. He was a member  of Lockhart Baptist Church and a retired textile worker. He was a 1965 graduate of Twin City High School.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert Carroll, Eddie Coleman and Willie Coleman.

He is survived by; sons, Michael Leaphart and Will (Tanja) Leaphart both of Lexington, SC, Jeff Chatman, Shawn (Yarnell) Chatman and Jayvon Chatman all of Highpoint, NC: eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; three brothers, Floyd (Cheryl) Carroll of Saluda, SC, James B. (Daisy) Coleman of Gaston, SC and John A. (Shirley) Coleman of San Antonia, TX; sisters, Clementine Smith of Saluda, SC and Linda  Gillard of Hartsville, SC; sister-in-law, Lizzie Carroll; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be 12 Noon Saturday at the Lockhart  Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, Reverend Herman Jenkins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in church at 11:00 a.m.

The family is at the home of his sister, Clementine Smith, 184 Stevens Road, Saluda, SC.
