Mrs. Annie Lee Rauch Suber
Saluda, SC: Mrs. Annie Lee Rauch Suber, of 407 Bouknight Ferry Road, the wife of Thomas Suber passed away on Friday. October 19, 2018, in Self Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Saluda, SC, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson (AJ) Rauch and the late Daisy Glenn Rauch, on April 9, 1940.
She received her education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina where she graduated from Riverside High Schools as Valedictorian of her class.
At an early age, she joined the Lockhart Baptist Church and after her marriage to Thomas Suber she also attended Mt. Enon Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Woman's Home Aide Society #40. She was worked for Knight's Industries many years.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by, her sister, Virginia Rauch Daniel.
She leaves to honor and cherish her memories; her husband, Thomas Suber of Saluda, SC; sister, Maggie R. Valentine of White Plains, MD; devoted nieces and nephews, Gwendolyn D. (Stanley) Belcher, Manassas, VA, Alfred Daniel, Columbia, SC, Melvin E. Daniel (Holly), Taylors, SC, Charlie S. Daniel, Jr. (Jana), Irmo, SC, Valeria K. Wright (Donald), Saluda, SC, Dewana (Bakeer) Al-Mateen, Owings, Mill, MD, Cheryl Valentine, Newport News, VA, Deborah Roane (Marc), Upper Marlboro, MD, and Christopher Valentine, White Plains, MD; and a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; her in-laws, Calvin Rudolph and Mary S. Suber,Aiken, SC, Charlie S. Daniel and Willie Lee Smith both of Saluda, SC, Mamie Perry Suber, Norristown, PA, and Hattie O. Suber, Brandywine, MD; other relatives and sorrowing friends.
A Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Enon Baptist Church conducted by Minister Charlie S. Daniel, Jr. - Eulogist and the pastor Reverend Donnie R. Byrd - presiding and others assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12 p.m.
Public viewing will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
