Mr. Hollie F. Parks, Jr.

McCormick, SC:  Mr. Hollie F. Parks, Jr., of 203 Christian Road, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at the home of his brother, Reverend David Parks,

He was born in Edgefield County, SC, April 12, 1949, son of Elease Kimble Parks and the late Hollie F. Parks, Sr.  He was a member of the Liberty Spring Baptist Church and a 1968 graduate of W.E. Parker High School where he was a bus driver. Hollie's worked history included a School Bus Driver and Lander College

He was married to the late Earline Morton Parks. To this union three children were born.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother Elease K. Parks of  Edgefield, SC; daughter, Eustacia Parks of McCormick, SC (His Caretaker); two sons , Derrick (Sallie) Parks and Antonio Parks both of McCormick, SC; nine grandchildren; brothers, Reverend David Parks, Gus Parks, and Dennis M. Parks all of Greenwood, SC and Alvin Parks of Edgefield, SC; sisters, Wanda (John) Baylor of Greenwood, SC and Veronica Parks of Edgefield, SC; father-in-law, Edward Morton of McCormick, SC; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; aunts, uncles; and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Liberty Spring Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, Reverend Henry Merriweather with others assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.. The processional will be leaving the home of his daughter at 10:25 A.M. Saturday.

Public viewing will be 10 AM to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Friends may visit at the home of his daughter, Eustacia Parks, 203 Christian Road, McCormick, SC and the home his brother, Reverend David Parks, 102 Avondale Drive, Greenwood, SC 29649.
