Mr. Larry Henley

Saluda, SC: Mr. Larry Henley, 60, formerly  of Saluda Nursing Center, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Saluda, SC, December 28, 1957, son of the late Samuel Henley and the late Katie Lee Smith Henley.

Larry received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina, attending Saluda High School.

At an early age, he joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Larry worked most of his working life in Logging, until he became disable.

Larry have been a resident at Saluda Nursing Center for about nine years and he was loved by residents and staff and he will be dearly missed.

In addition to his father and mother, he was also preceded in death by his brother, James Roy Henley.

Leaving to cherish his memories; son, Larry Wallace, Aiken, SC: brother, Sammie Henley (Ann) of Saluda, SC; four sisters, Veronica H. Coleman and Felisa Henley (Rodney) both of Saluda, SC, Doris Jean Henley, Lakeland, FLA and Sonya Henley, Columbia, SC; two nieces, Cherelle Henley and Raven Rosser and nephew, Daquan Henley all were reared in the home with Larry; one aunt, Annie R. Henley, New Jersey; one great aunt, Tennie R. Lott, Saluda, SC; nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family, residents and staff of Saluda Nursing Center and friends who will miss him dearly.

Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, 9/15/18 at Bethlehem Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, Reverend Calvin Robinson with burial in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon.

Public viewing will be Friday 10 am-8 pm. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his sister, Veronica Coleman 308 North Bouknight Ferry Road, Saluda, SC.
