Lathuro Okeefe Mobley
Saluda, SC: Lathuro Okeefe Mobley, 53, passed away Sunday morning, August 11, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Saluda, SC, September 8, 1965, son of Marlene Davis Kenner and the late Walter (Pete) Mobley. He was reared in the home of the late Bennie Hamp and Douschika Christie Mobley. At an early age, joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He received his education the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina where he was a member of Saluda High School Class of 1984.
Okeefe as he was called by all who knew him. He was an outdoorsman, he loved farming, Koon Hunting, and other activities. He received Algriculture Awards and Koon Hunting Awards. Okeefe was a Jokester and and he will be dearly missed by all.
He leaves to cherish his memory; mother and stepfather, Marlene Davis Kenner and Leon Kenner of Ridge Spring, SC; sons Jamal Mobley of Saluda, SC and Raymond Kirkland of Batesburg, SC; caregiver and fiancee', Loretta Grant of the home; brothers, Juan (Paula) Mobley, Kenneth Chapman and Dexter (Natalie) Kenner; sister, Wandalyn (Rev. Leonard) Griffin; two grandchildren, Jasmine Kirkland and Zimiere OKeefe Mobley; a host of uncles, aunts; nieces and nephews; other relatives and sorrowing friends.
A Memorial Service will be 4 p.m. Friday 8/16/19 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Leonard O. Griffin, officiating.
