Ms. Pauline Robinson
Saluda, SC: Ms. Pauline Robinson, 87, passed away at the Saluda Nursing Center, Saturday morning, December 15, 2018.
She was born in Saluda County,SC, daughter of the late Sam and Inez Lott Robinson, biology father the late Pierce Brown, Sr. was born on April 5, 1931.
She received her education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and served as a Deaconess.
Pauline worked many different jobs and her last employment was in housekeeping at the Saluda County Courthouse where she retired after twenty plus years of service.
She was once married to the late Ulysses Thomas. To this union six children were born.
In addition to her parents and former husband, she was also preceded in death by siblings; Pierce Brown, Jr., Raymond Brown and Gene Brown.
She leaves to cherish and honor her memory ; sons, Elijah (Butch) Thomas and Pierce (Calvin) Thomas both of Saluda, SC; daughters, Patsy (William) Merriweather, Barbara A. Thomas, Mary E. Thomas, Betty A. Thomas all of Saluda, SC; ten grandchildren, four raised in the home, Moquisha S. Thomas, Amanda Thomas, Garvin Thomas and (Irene E. Thomas - Deceased); five great grandchildren, one raised in the home, Miyioka Thomas: one great-great-great grandchild; brothers, Sam Robinson of Saluda, SC, Albert (Gloria) Robinson of Batesburg, SC and Curley (Doris) Brown of Irmo, SC; sisters, Pearline Brooks, Annie Watson, Margaret Young, and Nona (Thomas) Griffin all of Saluda, SC; Patsy Kay of White Plains, NY, Georgia B. Williams and Trannie Washington, Bronx, NY and Geneva Gaskins, Mt. Lake Terrance, WA; one aunt, Tennie R. Lott of Saluda, SC; sister-in-law, Pansy Brown, Wagner, SC; brother-in-law, Lonnie (Julia) Ouzts, Saluda, SC; nieces, nephews, other relative and sorrowing friends.
Celebration of Her Life will be Thursday, 12/20/18 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Calvin Robinson, Presiding, Elder Lee H. Ouzts, Eulogist and other assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
Public viewing will be 1-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
