Mr. Robert Moore

Edgefield, SC: Robert (Bob) Lee Moore was born on October 17, 1945 in Edgefield, SC,  son of  Ophelia C. Moore and the late Leroy Moore, Sr.

He was educated in the Edgefield County Public Schools. 

At an early age, Robert had to leave school to help provide for his family.  He joined the Pleasant Lane Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Robert was employed at Kendall Mill, Salem Carpets, and Parkdale Mill until his retirement.

Robert had passion for fishing. He enjoyed fishing with his sons, his brother Johnnie, and his grandsons.  He used the words, "Dear, Suga, and Sweetheart", and meant every word of it.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Moore, Sr., sister, Donnell Moore and brothers, Carl Moore, Leroy Moore, Jr., and Clinton Moore.

He married the love of his life, Beulah M. Shaw-Moore in May 1966. To this union, seven children were born. On December 27, 2018, while being surrounded by family.  Robert transition from this life into eternal rest.

Left to cherish Robert's memories are his wife, Beulah of the home; His five children Lennie Moore and Jasper (Christina) Moore of Aiken, SC, Jeffrey Moore and Valoria (Paul) Thompkins of Trenton, SC and Jerome (Marticia) Moore of Edison, NJ; stepsons, Franco Shaw of Columbia, SC, Jacob Moore of Oxon Hlll, MD; his mother, Ophelia C. Moore of Edgefield, SC; His siblings; Pastor Mary Bean and Albert (Bernice) Moore of Aiken, SC, Katie (Raymond) Simpkins, Linda Calliham, Willie Moore, Sr., Johnnie (Eva) Moore, and Richard Moore of Edgefield, SC; His seventeen grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, Porsha, Cemilia, Xaria, BriAnna, Zira, Jazmine, Ashia, Devin, Tyler, Coretta, Jessica, Sykira, Isaiah, Jairus, and Peyton; his great grandchildren, Jayceon, Kaydence, Kentavis, Renyshia, and Rico, Jr.; his aunts, Agnes Robinson and Mary (Lindsey) Wright of Clearwater, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Pleasant Lane Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, Reverend Melvin Searles, Officiating and Reverend Keith Gordon - Presiding and other assisting.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 12 o'clock.

The family is receiving friend at the home of his son, Jasper Moore, 219 Fairway Ridge Apt. A, Aiken, SC.

Viewing will be 1-7 p.m.  Friday 1/4/19 at the funeral home.
