Thomas Suber

Saluda, SC: Thomas Suber, 77,  formerly of 407 N Bouknight Ferry Road, the widower of Annie Lee Rauch Suber, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 30, 2019 at Prisma Palmetto Health Parkridge, Columbia, SC.

He was born in Saluda County, SC, on February 23, 1942, son of the late Thomas and Pearlie Miles Suber.

He received his  education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina. He was a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church. 

Thomas was married to Annie Lee Rauch Suber who preceded him in death.  He was a retired  employee of Milliken & Company of Saluda where he worked for many years.  He also operated Suber's Gas Station for years.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Shirley Smith, Daisy Young, John Miller Suber, Roosevelt Suber, Robert Suber and Larry Suber.

As Thomas' Journey has come to an end; He leaves to cherish his memory; his brother and his wife, Calvin Rudolph (Mary) Suber of  Lawrenceville, GA;  devoted nieces and nephews, Gwendolyn D. (Stanley) Blecher, Manassas, VA, Alfred Daniel, Columbia, SC, Melvin E. (Holly) Daniel, Taylors, SC Charlie S. (Jana) Daniel, Jr., Irom, SC, Valeria K. Wright, Saluda, SC and Dewana (Bakeer) Al-Mateen, Owings, Mill, MD; and a host of other nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; his in-laws, Charlie S. Daniel, Sr. and Willie Lee Smith both of Saluda, SC, Mamie Perry Suber, Norristown, PA, Hattie O. Suber, Brandywine, MD and Maggie R. Valentine of White Plains, MD; and a host of other relatives, extended family and sorrowing friends who will miss him.

A Celebration of his Life will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Enon Baptist Church conducted by Minister Charlie Sammie Daniel, Jr. as eulogist and Pastor Donnie R. Byrd, presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 12 p.m.

Public viewing will be Friday 1-7 p.m at the funeral home.
