Obituary
Greenwood, SC: Eldress Amanda Louise Moore Andrews Holloway was born on June 2, 1938 in Sparta Georgia to the late Willie Frank and Ruth Moore. After her parents died, she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Andrews. God called Eldress Louise Holloway home on February 5, 2025.
Eldress Holloway gave her life to the Lord in 1960 and continued to be passionate lifting a standard for Jesus until her departure. She was introduced to holiness at the Revival Holiness Church of God in Christ in Long Beach, New York under the leadership of the late Pastor Roy Dokes. It was at Revival Holiness Church of God in Christ where she met Leroy Holloway. They were united in holy matrimony on August 18, 1963. From this union, three children were born, Leroy Holloway Jr, David Edward Holloway, and Lorie Ann Holloway.
Soon after, Eldress Holloway joined Evangel Revival Time Church in The Bronx, New York under the leadership of Pastor Edna Sheffield where she served on the choir. A few years later, she joined Evangel Revival Community Church in Long Beach, New York under the leadership of Dr. Delores Miller. At Evangel Revival Community Church, Eldress Holloway was a great support to the pastor, a pillar to the work of the ministry, and to the people. She was a Psalmist that loved to sing. She a Senior Choir Director and Leader that was serious about perfecting the song and the presentation. She was a Sunday School and Home Ministry Teacher who loved the Word of God.
On May 26, 1985, she received a Certificate in Evangelism from Bethel Bible Institute in Jamaica, New York. On September 11, 1988, she was ordained an Evangelist. On November 29, 1992, she was Licensed and ordained an Eldress. In 1992, she was sent out by Dr. Miller and was installed as Pastor over Evangel Revival Mission Church in Hempstead, New York where she served faithfully until 1996.
In 1996, Eldress Holloway relocated with her husband to Greenwood, South Carolina. In Greenwood, SC Eldress Holloway visited Rock Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Holloway. She attended Perfecting Faith Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Dr. Pastor Curtis Patterson. Later, she joined Rock Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Herbert Martin. Attending with her husband there every 1st and 3rd Sunday. In 2015, she also joined Open Door Ministries, Greenville, South Carolina attending every 2nd and 4th Sunday serving as an Elder under the leadership of Apostles David & Angela Holloway. In 2022, Eldress attended Life Cathedral Church located in Greenwood, South Carolina under the watch care leadership of Bishop Eric and Prophetess Whitney Bell.
Eldress Holloway did not only serve in her local church, but she also served in the community. In New York, she was a foster mother for many years taking care of many families in the foster care system. In South Carolina, she volunteered and ministered at the Piedmont Senior Citizen Home once a month to encourage the seniors for many years.
Eldress Holloway loved the Lord with all heart. She lived a holy life unto God without comprise. She lived the life that she preached and was an example to her family and the saints of God.
Preceding her in death were three sisters, four brothers, nine sister in-laws and two brother in-laws. To rejoice in her glorious homegoing, Eldress Holloway leaves her beloved husband, Brother Leroy Holloway; her children: Ronnie Andrews; Leroy Jr (Theresa) of Baltimore Maryland; David (Angela) of Greenville, South Carolina; Lorie Ann Holloway of Colorado; grandchildren, Christopher, Simone, Regine, Sierra (Brenly); great grandchildren, Malachi and Melody and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Please don’t cry because I left. I am home with Jesus and I’ll be waiting for you.
