Annie Ruth Campbell

Annie Ruth Robinson Campbell, 89, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Saluda Nursing Center.

She was born in Greenwood County, daughter of the Dock and Ellen Williams Robinson. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

She was married to  Leroy Campbell who preceded her in death. This this union eight children were born; three sons, Elijah, Norman and Roy Campbell and siblings, Dock Robinson, David Robinson, Sammie Robinson, Joe Louis Robinson, Jessie Robinson, Beth Smith Janie Atkinson, Ella Mae Hillary also preceded her in death.

She leaves to honor her memory; son Howard Campbell, Ward, SC; daughters, Joyce (Robert) Robinson and Thelma (Nathaniel) Anderson both of Ward,  Lizzie (Wille) Frazier, Edgefield, SC and Charlesann (Melvin) Miles, Newberry; brother, Paul Robinson, Ridge Spring, SC; sister, Alberta Devarex, Ridge Spring, SC; 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Joan Campbell, Saluda, SC and Kimberly Campbell, Gaston, ALA; sister-in-law, Gussie Robinson, Ward, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Homegoing celebration will be 1 p.m. Thursday, 8/9/19 at Antioch Baptist Church conducted by Pastor R. C. Oglesby and Reverend Camilla Simpkins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon.

Viewing will be 1-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Thelma (Nathaniel) Anderson, 153 Clark Circle, Ward, SC.
