Saluda, SC: Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Wideman Robinson, 85, of 132 Fern Drive, widow of Jerry (June) Robinson, Jr. passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at her home.
She was born in Greenwood County, SC, April 4, 1934, daughter of the late Neil Wideman and the late Nell Lewis Wideman Holloway. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served faithfully during her good health. For many years she served as an Usher, Senior Choir member and a member of the Willing Worker Club. She was also a member of Woman Home Aide Society.
Cat as she was affectionately called worked in textile until landing a job at Saluda School District One where she started of as a cook and later for many years she served as manager of Food Service for the district until she retired.
She was married to Jerry Robinson, Jr. who preceded her in death. To this union four children were born.
In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by siblings, Tommie Wideman, Odell Wideman, Tensie Holloway and Gertrude Hall.
Leaving to cherish and honor her life; sons, Henry Robinson of Saluda, SC and Richard Robinson (Gloria) of the home, and Edward Robinson (Debra) of Greenwood, SC; daughter, Margaret (Michael) Franklin of the home; granddaughter, Brittany Robinson (TJ) of the home; brothers, Billy Wideman, Harry (Sharon) Holloway, Charles (Mary) Holloway and Jimmy Holloway all of Saluda, SC, Larry Holloway of Newberry, SC and Larry Wright of Virginia; sisters, Nealye Wideman, Ruby Boozer and Nina (Marshall) Bland of Greenwood, SC and Joe Ceaser Hall of Baltimore, MD; god-son, Tyrus O. Robinson, Ninety Six, SC; sister-in-law, Dorothy M. Wideman, Saluda, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relative and sorrowing friends.Saluda,
A Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Saturday, 2/22/20 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Adrian Wideman - Words of Comfort, Reverend Raymond Adams, presiding and others assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
Viewing will be held 1-7 pm. Friday at the funeral home.
