Anthony Adams Obituary

Columbia, SC: Mr. Anthony Montez Adams son of Reverend Raymond and Josephine Barnes Adams was born on December 5, 1967. He transitioned from this life on Monday, December 23, 2019 at his residence.

He was educated in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina where he graduated from Saluda High School in 1986. He attended Benedict College and furthered his studies at Limestone College where he graduated  in 2012. During his tenure at Saluda High School he was a member of the Saluda High football team where he was also a star on the football field. Montez loved sports and was a huge fan of the Clemson Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys and well as the Famous Saluda Tigers 2019.

At an early age, he joined Peaceful Baptist Church where he served faithfully during his youth participating in the Association, Union and BTU where he attended classes on the state level and received a teaching certificate.  Montez was active in the youth NAACP. Montez, as he was affectionately called, was well-respected among his peers and adults as well. To be a young man he had a contagious personality and he touched every life he met.
