Bessie Lee Abney Williams
Saluda, SC: Bessie Lee Abney Williams, of 119 East End Drive, the wife of Deacon Thomas (Pete) Williams, passed away Sunday morning, January 31, 2021, in Self Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Saluda, SC, on December 2, 1949, daughter of Carrie Bell Lott Abney Graham and the late Tyrie Abney, Sr. She was a 1968 graduate of Riverside High School. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where served as a faithful member and Deaconess. She was first employed by Knights Industries until it closed and then she was employed by the Saluda Nursing & Rehab Center in the Dietary Department until her passing.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Lee Abney.
Leaving to cherish and honor her memory; her mother, Carrie Bell Abney Graham of Saluda, SC; her husband, Thomas Williams of the home. daughter, LaTosha (Santaner) Gallman of Saluda, SC;(raised as a daughter) Quincina Etheredge Davis of Goldsboro, NC; two brothers, Tyrie (Juanita) Abney, Jr. and Steve Abney both of Saluda, SC; sisters, Annie (Johnny Mack) Smith of Saluda, SC, Virginia (Willie) Williams of Silverstreet, SC, Shirley (Lonnie) Kelley of Greenwood, SC, Joan Abney, North Augusta, SC and Debbiie Abney of Florida; grandchildren, Jasiah, Santravius, Monquavius, Quintequa and Jarvis; one great grand, Quavon; three sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; four aunts; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
A Celebration of Her Life will be 12 Noon, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Yard conducted by the pastor Reverend Calvin Robinson.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Latosha (Santaner) Gallman, 123 East End Drive, Saluda, SC. Not receiving visitors at this time. She can be reached (864)980-1536 or if you have something for the family do a drop-off.
