Mrs. Carrie Lee Adams

Edgefield, SC:  Mrs. Carrie Lee Adams, 90, of 682 Highway 378 East, the widow of Elliott (Pistol) Adams, died on Monday, July 3, 2017 at her home.

She was born in Edgefield, SC, on July 17, 1926, daughter of the late Lewis and Carrie Lee Butler Coates. She was a member of the Willow Spring Baptist Church where during her good health, she was a member of the Senior Choir.  She was also a member of the Woman's Home Aide Society #126. She was a former employee of Greenwood Mills the Matthew Plant

In additon of her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by siblings,Frank Coates, Fred Coates, Viola Pullin and Ruby Wilson. She was the last survivor of her  immediate family.

Those  who will miss her the most; her daughters, Beverly A. Dean and Demetrie A. Fuller (Richard) both of Edgefield, SC and Glenda F. Smith of Johnston, SC; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Sadie Adams Moyd of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. at  Willow Spring Baptist Church conducted Reverend Anthony Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.

Public viewing will be Friday, 7/8/17 at the funeral home.
