Cassandra Butler

Cassandra Butler, 69, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in Piedmont Augusta, after declining health.

She was born in Edgefield County, SC, January 24, 1955, daughter of the late Fred Butler and Jessie Brown Butler and step-mother, Florine Posey Butler. She was also preceded in death by her son, Keith Butler.

She was a former member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and she received her education in the public schools of Saluda County, SC. She worked for many years at Shaw Industries along with other jobs that she worked during her working life..

She leaves to honor and cherish her precious memories; her daughter, Shandra Cauthen (Antwaun) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandson, (Granny Man) Saintilus Dessint also of Virginia Beach,, VA; bonus daughter, Lavina Releford of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Fred Norman Butler (Mae) of Saluda, SC, Bernard (Indale) Posey of Maryland, Ronnie Posey (Vickie) and Leon Butler (Pamela) both Johnston, SC, Marvin Butler of Augusta, GA and Kenneth Butler of Trenton, SC; sisters, Ruby Jean (Bishop Henry) Burton of Saluda, SC, Katherine (Johnny) Williams of Johnston, SC, Elizabeth Raiford, Debora (Clint) Gilliam and Dernice Butler all of Aiken, SC and Flora Posey of Maryland; aunts, Lola Bell Butler of Saluda, SC, McKeever Posey and Sophie Posey both of Maryland; and a host of  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is at their respective homes.
