Saluda, SC: Charlotte Brown Kinard of 431 N. Bouknight Ferry Road, transitioned from this life into eternal rest early Thursday morning, July 1, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Saluda, SC, January 7, 1935, daughter of the late Rolland Brown, Sr. and the late Hattie Abney Brown.. She received her education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina.

At an early age, she joined Lockhart Baptist Church and she attended Antioch Baptist Church after her marriage to the late Duffie Lee Kinard. She was a stay at home Mom. She loved to cook and work in the yard with her flowers.  Charlotte loved people and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Kinard and her siblings, Willie (Bill), Frank, Clarence and Charlie Brown, Maggie Brown Minick, Ida M. Butler, Dorothy Lark and Dollie M. Price.

Those who will miss her the most; sons, Robert Kinard and Johnny Mack Kinard (they both lived with her as her caretakers) of Saluda, SC; daughters, Eva Jean Kinard, Edgefield, SC, Corine Phillips of Ridge Spring, SC, Wilhemina (Larry) Stevens of Johnston, SC, Danita Phillips of Prosperity, SC; thirteen grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren, four great-great grands; two brothers, Bennie Lee Brown of Norristown, PA and Rolland Brown, Jr. of Saluda, SC; sisters, Martha Lee Lyons of Philadelphia, PA and Ethel T. Etheredge of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law; special niece, Christine Lawrence and other nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.

Please pray for this family as they go through this difficult time in their lives.  Please be mindful of the COVID  19 guidelines.
