Landrum, MD: Christine  Ouzts, 69, affectionately called "Tine" transitioned from this life into eternal rest, June 8, 2026. She was born in on May 19, 1957, in Edgefield, South Carolina, daughter of Curtis Ouzts, Sr. and the late Mable Tolbert Ouzts.

Christine was a 1975 graduate of McCormick High School, McCormick, SC.  At a young age, she joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. After graduating from high school, she moved to Washington, DC. Christine was an awesome cook, always making sure you got those vegetables in. Christine was blessed with one devoted son, Brandon E. Thomas. She employed with Kaiser until her retirement. She was a member of Guildfield Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her dad, Curtis Ouzts, Sr., Plum Branch, SC; her son, Brandon E Thomas (Tyeisa) of Maryland; sisters, Hazel Anderson, Greenwood, SC and Janie Talbert of Plum Branch, SC; brother, Curtis Ouzts, Jr. (Lotretta) Greenwood, SC;  six grandchildren, Brandon Thomas, Bre'neigh, Braniyah, Branaisha, Charmia, Tykisha; a great grandson. Aaron; a devoted cousin like a sister, Barbara Yeldell; a devoted companion, Ronnie Jackson.

She was also blessed to have a second family, Clyde and Lucille Groom who loved her like a daughter and bonus sisters, Carolyn Jones, Diane Proctor.

She also leaves cherished memories to: Aunts, Daisy Reed (devoted aunt), Washington, DC, Emma L. Gilchrist, Edgefield, SC, Effie L. Stevens, Plum Branch, SC, Louise Yeldell, McCormick, SC, Daisy Carter, North Augusta, SC; uncles, Johnny (Wilhemena) Tolbert and Jonathan (Joeann) Tolbert of Plum Branch and Willie (Mary) Ouzts, Sr., Edgefield, SC; devoted friends, Gwen Addison, Washington, DC, Vivian Lanham and Hattie Stevens of Plum Branch, SC, Mrs. Suzanne Freeman and Linda Cartledge of Greenwood, SC, Carolyn Sibert of Hephzibah, GA; god-sister, Regina Gilliam, Hephzibah; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
