Mr. Curtis Olanda Lorick (AKA Big Curt) son of Curtis and Lanie Mae Stevens Lorick was born in Washington, DC, June  22, 1956. He departed this life into eternal life in Paradise, early Monday morning, October 23, 2017 in Saluda Nursing Center, after declining health.
He received his education in Maryland and Saluda County public schools, graduating from Saluda High School in1975.  
He was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church where he once served on the Board of Trustees. He was also a member of the Sons of Aide. 
He was once married to Mary Ann Nickerson Lorick. This union was blessed with two children.
Curtis was a man with many skills. He was a man with a big giving heart. He worked hard to provide for his children. Curtis worked at Champion until it closed and later at International Paper, until his health failed. He was also a Mechanic and Salesman. Curt was a lover of cars (hot rods) and motorcycles.
Curt, Olanda and Big Curt as he was affectionately called will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. Precious memories will forever linger in our hearts and minds.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Yolanda Lorick, brothers, John H. Lorick and Alcostello Lorick.
Those who will miss him the most; his parents, Curtis and Lanie M. Lorick of Saluda, SC; son, Timothy Lorick of Austell, GA; daughters, Chiquita Lorick of Saluda, SC, and Volanda Lorick of Conyers, GA; brothers, Jessie Frank Lorick and Darrick (Priscilla) Lorick both of Saluda, SC; four grandchildren, David, Braeden, Arieyon and LaMiya all of Saluda, SC: children he help to raise, Vincent Valentine of Conyers, GA, Virgil Valentine of San Antonio, TX and Vivian Valentine of Saluda, SC eleven aunts, ten uncles; nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and sorrowing friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Rock Hill Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Herbert Martin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon.
