Batesburg, SC:  Darrick Lorick, Jr. 30, departed this life on Saturday, April 30, 2022, in Augusta University Medical Center.

He was born in Augusta, GA. October 12, 1991, son of Darrick Lorick, Sr. and Donna Jackson. He was baptized at Bland Baptist Church and a 2010 graduated to Saluda High School.

Darrick loved animals. He loved to play Chess, Video Games, Water Painting and working with computers.  For spiritual uplifting, he listened to Contemporary Gospel Music and his favorite song was "Because of Who You are".  Darrick has worked on different jobs and his present job was working as a contractor for LeafFilter.

Darrick is survived by; his father, Darrick (Priscilla) Lorick, Sr. of Saluda, SC; his mother, Donna Jackson (Annette Jackson) of Augusta, GA; children, Aiden Taylor, Adam Lorick and Ari Lorick (mother, Rachelle Jones) all of Batesburg, SC  and Melanie Lorick (mother, Brittany Green) of Clearwater, SC; brother, Henry O'Brian Lorick of Saluda, SC; sisters, Alexis Holloway of Conyers, GA and Cassandra Cheatham of Edgefield, SC; paternal grandmother, Lanie S. Lorick of Saluda, SC; aunts, Teresa Davis, Tilitha Moore, Tasha Jackson, Madalyn Griffin and Gloria Jackson; uncles, Harold Jackson, Ronnie Griffin, Carlton Jackson, and Jesse Frank Lorick of Saluda, SC; great aunts and uncles; and a niece; and other relatives and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Curtis Lorick, Sr. and his maternal grandparents, Elijah and Mary Alice Watkins Jackson.

A Graveside Service Celebrating his life will be  held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022  at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Annette Mathis officiating. Viewing will be 1-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his father Darrick (Priscilla) Lorick, Sr., 542 Boulder Drive, Saluda, SC.
