David Brown
Spartanburg, SC: David Brown AKA David Harp, 48, formerly of Saluda, SC, passed away on Saturday night, May 30, 2020 in Spartanburg Regional HealthCare System.
He was born in Newberry,, SC, April 18, 1972, son of Lillie Mae Scurry and the late David Butler. He was raised in the home of the late Charlie and Mattie Bess Lott Harp.
He received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, SC.
At an early age. he joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he once played the drums. He was gifted in many ways, as a musician he played Keyboard and Drums. He worked in the Construction Industry where he was a truck driver.
He is survived by; his mother, Lillie Mae Scurry of Pelion, SC; sons, Bryson and Trent Brown both of Batesburg, SC; daughter, Denasia Brown of Saluda, SC; brothers, Fredrick Tolen and Truqune Tolen both of Pelion, SC, David Graham and Dantvas Myers both of Saluda, SC; sister Zakia Butler and Anarial Butler both of Saluda, SC; foster brothers, Charlie (Beverly) Harp of Newberry, SC and Reginald (LaShawn) Harp of Blythwood, SC; foster sisters, Geraldine (James) Morgan and Susie (Eddie) Mitchell both of Columbia, SC; Alicia Hall (a devoted friend) of Charleston, SC; four uncles, two aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
A Memorial Services will be Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 130 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Saluda, SC conducted by Elder Henry Watson and others.
If you plan to attend and cannot stand please bring your own chair. If you would pay tribute and sign the register book you can do so on Saturday, JUNE 7, 2020 TIME; 5-7 pm.
We the family wish to thank you for your many acts of kindness.
