WE ARE SADDENED TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF DOROTHY GILLIAM GALLMAN.

Dorothy Mae Gilliam Gallmon

Prosperity, SC:  Dorothy Mae Gilliam Gallmon, 72, of 1088 Seibert Road, the wife of Moses L. Gallmon passed away on Friday night, August 7, 2020 in Lexington Medical Center.

She was born in Saluda County, SC, September 25, 1947, daughter of the late J C and Ellen Boyd Gilliam. 

She received her education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina.

At an early age, she joined Philippi Baptist Church where she was a member in good standing. 

Dorothy was a strong independent woman. She loved family and flowers. Her favorite color was purple.

She was married to the love of her life, Moses Lee Gallmon for almost 50 years on August 15th.

She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Leaving to cherish and honor her memory; her husband, Moses Lee Gallmon of the home; three daughters, Melissa G. (Willie) Burno of Saluda, SC, Shaquella Gallmon and Meesha Gallmon both of Prosperity, SC; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph (Mary) Gilliam of Prosperity, SC; sister, Diane G. (George) Wise of Saluda, SC; her mother-in-law, Vera Gallmon of Prosperity, SC;  brothers-in-law & wives, Jimmy (Karen) Gallmon, Henry (Andrena) Gallmon, Raymond (Dorothy) Gallmon, Benjamin Gallmon, James Gallmon, Jerry Gallmon, and Ashley (Deborah) Gallmon; sisters-in-law & husbands, Dorothy Long (John T.), Linda Robinson, Sharon Carmack (Arthur Jackson),  Mary Wallace (George),  and Lottie Bell Gilliam; a very devoted friend, Virginia B. Gallman; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings, John T. Gilliam (JT) and James M. Gilliam; step-sister, Vanessa Boyd Corley.

Graveside Services to Honor and Celebrate Her Life will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the pastor, Reverend Charles Davenport.

Viewing will be 1-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home

The family is at the home 1088 Seibert  Road, Prosperity, SC.
