Monetta, SC: Dorothy Mae Morris Bernard, 59, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, in Aiken, SC.

She was born in Ridge Spring, SC, on September 20, 1961, daughter of Johnnie Mae Lott Morris and the late Leon Morris, Jr.  

She was a member of Ridge Hill Baptist Church and she received her education in the public schools in Saluda County, SC. She was married to the late George Bernard.

She is survived by; her mother, Johnnie Mae Morris of Saluda, SC; children, Rondell Morris of North Carolina and Tasha Gail Morris (Craig) of Saluda, SC; sisters, Kathie Melton (Archie) of Aiken, SC, Shirley Gibson (Ivy) of Ward, SC, Abigail Morris of Batesburg, SC, Vernell Abner (Jerry) Ward, SC, JoAnnie Harrison (Melvin) and Brenda Wiggins (Jessie) both of Monetta, SC, Rita Dozier of Pennsylvania and Viola Holmes of Ridge Spring, SC; brothers, James E. Lott (Zienora) of Columbia, SC, Ivy Morris (Cleavie) of Batesburg, SC, Venson Morris (Vickie) and Alvin L. Morris both of Monetta, SC; special friend, Charles Cullum of Monetta, SC; 16 grandchildren, 2 great grands; 8 aunts, one uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family viewing will be 2-3  Wednesday at the funeral home. Public viewing will be 3-6 p.m.  and Thursday from 9 am until the hour of service which will be at 2 pm.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Tasha Morris, 168 Posey Road, Saluda, SC.
