Mr. Eddie "Big Ed" Buckman

Saluda, SC:  Mr. Eddie "Big Ed" Buckman, 70, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Trinity Mission Health Rehab of Edgefield, SC.

Born in Edgefield County, SC, September 16, 1947, son of the late Garland and Edith Gantt Buckman. He received his education in the public schools of Edgefield County, SC. He was of Baptist Faith. He was a farmer worker.

Eddie was married to Elaine Robinson Buckman who preceded him in death.  To this union three children were born.

Eddie was affectionately call "Big Ed" and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Sylvester Buckman, David Buckman, Charlie Buckman, Mack Buckman, Willie James Buckman and Mary Herbert.

Leaving to cherish and honor memory; son, Craig Buckman, Chappells, SC; daughters, Felicia Taylor, Taylors, SC and Crystal Coleman, Greenwood, SC; ten grandchildren, Azaria Taylor, Adarius Taylor, Kendrick Taylor, Markervius West, Damarko Taylor, Tanesia Coleman, Marana Coleman, Kambrean Currenton, Makiya Buckman, and Nysiah Dozier; two great grandchildren; brother, Reverend Michael (Betty) Key, Johnston, SC; sister, Lillie Mae Pixley, Johnston, SC; sisters-in-law, Eva Buckman, Cheryl Buckman, Clara Buckman, Beatrice Oliphant, Alberta Robinson, Theola Robinson, Rev. Wilhelmena (Jessie) Coleman, and Mary Robinson; brother-in-law, Mack Arthur Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon Saturday, 7/21/18 at Young Mt. Zion Baptist Church conducted by the pastor Reverend Carl Chiles with others assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m.

The family is at the home of Beatrice Oliphant, 268 Robinson Road, Chappells, SC.

Public viewing will be 1-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
