Eddie Michael Smith

West Columbia, SC:  Mr. Eddie Michael Smith of 703 Charwood Lane, the husband of Sarah Cook Smith transitioned peacefully into eternal rest o Sunday, May 4, 2025 at his home. 

He was born in Greenville, SC, December 2, 1954, son of the late Joe Jones and the late Rosetta Burts Smith. He received his education in the public schools of Greenville County, South Carolina. At an early age he was of Baptist Faith. Later in life after his marriage to Sarah Cook Smith, he became a faithful member of Mt. Olive CME Church serving as a Steward, Choir Member and where ever there was a need.  He was a well rounded man with many talents such as, Landscaping, building, mechanic, home repairs, just ask Eddie he could do it.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, William H. Smith and stepson. Carl Cook.

He leaves to honor and cherish his memory and Legacy; his devoted, Sarah C. Smith of the home; stepdaughters, Lakesicha (Allen) Davis and Tiaja Pickens both of West Columbia, SC; brothers, Marion (Sandra) Smith of Greenville, SC, Harold (Sophia) Barton of Lawrenceville, GA and Reverend Willie James (Hennie) Choice of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Lavarus Clark, Jalasia Miller, Sarhara Gibbs, Ayanna Butler, Paris Pickens, Sliyah Gibbs and Shamar Gibbs; two great grands, Osirion Robinson and Si'Yon Potts; a favorite niece, Lisa Hampton; five sisters-in-law, two brothers-inn-law; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The family is at the home.
