Edgefield, SC:  Effie Mayson Lee, 78, transitioned from this life into eternal rest Monday, June 14, 2021 in The Ridge Nursing Home and Rehab.

She was born in Edgefield County, SC, on April 25, 1943, daughter of the late Charlie and Sophie Mae Harrison Mayson. She received her education in the public of Edgefield County, South Carolina. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.  Effie had lived in Washington, DC and Virginia area for 50 years, moving back to Edgefield several years ago to live.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Paul Lee and siblings, Peggy Roundtree and  Charlie Mayson, Jr. (June).

She leaves to cherish and honor her memory; sister, Ribbie M. Adams of Edgefield, SC; brothers, Burnell (Bonnie) Mayson, Sr. and Nelson Odell Mayson (Tisa) both of Greenwood, SC and Lonnie Mayson of Batesburg, SC; a special aunt, Ruth Johnson of Newark, NJ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is at their respective homes.

Committal Service Monday immediate family only.
