Mrs. Eliza Green Lott was born in Saluda, SC, September 30, 1934, daughter of the late Walter and Laura Stephens Green. She departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in NHC Healthcare, Greenwood, SC.
She received her education in the public schools of Saluda, South Carolina where she graduated from Rosenwald High School.
At an early age, she joined ST. Paul Baptist Church. After her union to the late John William Lott, Jr. , she joined Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess and also Mother of the Church. She was a retired employee of US Plywood (Champion) where she worked for many years.
She was called Liza by her family and friends and she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be everlasting in our hearts.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughters, Annie Bertha Lott Abney and Vanessa Lott Culbreath.
She leaves to honor and cherish her memory; sons, Anthony O. Lott of Saluda, SC and Robert Terry (Ronda) Lott of Charlotte, NC, daughters, Mildred (Jimmy L.) Holloway and Elaine Lott Freeman both of Saluda, SC and Francean Lott of Atlanta, GA; daughter/granddaughter reared in the home, Michelle (Tony) Walford of Columbia, SC; other grandchildren, Shantrice Padgett, Jerard Sellers, India Lott, Joseph Freeman, Tyanna Freeman and Tory Sullivan; nine great grands and two great-great grands; her twin brother, Frank Green of Conshohocken, PA; sister-in-law, Minnie Green of Norristown, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
A Celebration of her life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April16, 2024 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Family viewing will be Monday 1-2 pm. and Public Viewing will be 2-6 pm at the funeral home.
The family is at the home 319 Logan St, Saluda, SC.
