Elnora Daniel Adams

Elnora Patricia Daniel Adams, 64, of Edgefield, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 5th, 2017, at her residence.  Born on August 7th, 1952, she was the daughter of Annie Daniel and the late James Daniel of Saluda, SC.  She was married for 44 years to James D. Adams of Edgefield, SC.

Elnora graduated in 1970 from Riverside High School, in Saluda, SC.  She also graduated from Piedmont Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science in 1972.  Elnora had an enthusiasm for school and continuous education.  She was a dedicated secretary at Piedmont Tech and Riverside Middle School for many years.  Elnora was also a faithful member of Willow Springs Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC.  Her many accomplishments also included being the Salutatorian in her high school graduation class, being crowned Miss Piedmont Technical College for the 1970-1971 term, and later in 2013, graduating, with honors, from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science degree in history.  She enjoyed reading, spending time with family, and visiting others.  She was well-known for her outgoing nature. 

Elnora will be greatly missed by her friends and family.  She is survived by her husband, James Daniel; her daughter, Antonia Danielle; her son, James Antonio; her daughter, Lashawna (Heath); and her grandchildren, Ava, Noble, Wyatt, and James.  She is survived by her mother, Annie Daniel; her brother, Harvey Daniel; and her sisters, Linda Eaddy,  Alice Padgett (Ulysses), and Sandra Watson (William).  She is also survived by five sisters-in-law, Dianne Haggan (Irvin), Barbara Adams, Renee' Covington, Emma Freeman (Rudolph), and Francien Saxon; and, by an aunt and uncle, Clara and Vannie Williams, and uncles Charlie Daniel and Ernest Mason.  In addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, there are many other family members and friends who will also miss her dearly.

Funeral service will be conducted at Willow Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, March 11th, at 11:00 AM.   Viewing will be done at the church before the service 10 AM to 11 AM.  The interment will be at the Willow Springs Baptist Church cemetery, immediately after the funeral service.

The family thanks Butler and Sons Funeral Home of Saluda, SC for handling the funeral arrangements.  The family thanks Regency Hospice for their excellent care and comfort during our hour of need.  The family also thanks everyone for their presence and words of comfort during our time of bereavement.
