Emanuel Lee Gilchrist, Sr.

Edgefield, SC:  Emanuel Lee Gilchrist, Sr.  57, transitioned for this life into eternal rest on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Edgefield County Healthcare.

He  was born in St. Petersburg, FLA, on September 16, 1965, son of Lorene Ryhnes Gilchrist and the late Charlie Arthur Gilchrist, Sr. He received his education in the public of Edgefield County, South Carolina.  At an early age, he joined Liberty Spring Baptist Church where he maintained his membership until his passing.  He was as a Car Sale man and Service Manager at Master's Chevrolet for twenty-seven years and he retired after becoming disable. He once rode motorcycle and he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy's Fan.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Lorene R. Gilchrist (caretaker), Edgefield, SC; sons, Reverend Emanuel Lee (Ranada) Gilchrist, Jr. of Johnston, SC and Jayquan Gilchrist of Aiken, SC; three daughters, Senovia Collins, Amanda L. Young and Aubrie M. Gilchrist all of North Augusta, SC; five grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie A. Gilchrist, Jr. (Lorraine) of Jacksonville, FLA and Gregory Gaskins (Debra) of Wooster, Ohio; three sisters, Mary Polly (John) of Johnston, SC, Debra Rowe (Kenneth) of Edgefield, SC and Loretha Agyare (Mike) of Grovetown, GA; best friends like brothers, Julius Gilchrist, George Williams and Walter Williams; aunts and uncles; nieces, nephew, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The family is at the home of his mother, 874 Plum Branch Road, Edgefield, SC 29824.
