Francis Maurice (Bubba) Walker

Saluda, SC:  Francis Maurice (Bubba) Walker, 67, of 167 Abney Nursery Road, the husband of Reverend Mildred L. Walker, transitioned into eternal rest of Sunday, April 18, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Hattiesburg, MS, November 7, 1953, to the late Frances Walker. Bubba was reared in the home of his sister, Mary Lee Butler and the late Fred Butler. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Alma Jean Walker Moore. He received his education in the public schools of Saluda, South Carolina and graduated from Saluda High School in 1973. Early in life he joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and he also fellowshipped with Wateree AME Church. He served his country in the US Army.

During his working life he worked many different jobs and his last job was in construction where he became disabled.

He was affectionately called Bubba by his family and friends. He leaves to cherish and honor his memory, his wife, Reverend Mildred L. Walker of the home;  stepson, Ray A. Winford (Talitha C. Houston) of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Mary Lee Butler and Cynthia Elaine (David) Downing both of Saluda, SC; Libby Ruth Walker of Los Angles, CA, Annie Marie Walker Thomas of Pomona, CA and Jacqueline (Louis) Berkel of New Orleans; brothers-in-law, George H. Moore and Frankie Westmoreland; sisters-in-law, Robin Gaither and Annie Tartt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE FAMILY AS THEY GO THROUGH THEIR HOUR OF BEREAVEMENT.
