Frankie Abney Williams
Batesburg, SC: Frankie Abney Williams was born on August 7, 1951 in Saluda, South Carolina, to the late Charlie and Carrie Lee Miles Abney. Frankie departed this life on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Lexington Community Hospice House - Agape Care, Lexington, SC.
Frankie Williams received her education in the public schools of Saluda County and graduated from Riverside High School in 1969. At an early age, she joined Mt. Enon Baptist Church.
Frankie Williams found the man of her dreams, Arthur "Tuck" Williams and they became one on January11, 1972. This union was blessed with a daughter, Erica C. Williams and one granddaughter, Te'embra Haltiwanger. Frankie was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a hard-worker before her retirement, due to failing health. She worked at Milliken Plant in Saluda, SC for many years and at Wellington Plant in Batesburg, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, David Miles and sisters, Albertha Weaver and Valeria Jones.
She leaves to cherish and honor her precious memories; devoted husband, Arthur (Tuck) Williams of the home; daughter, Erica C. Williams (Leon Haltiwanger) of Batesburg, SC; one precious granddaughter, Te'embra Haltiwanger of Batesburg, SC; brother, Ira Abney of Columbia, SC; sisters, Darline (Heyward) Williams of Aiken, SC and Lesa Lindsay of Columbia, SC; brothers-in-law, Antley Weaver, Saluda, SC and Henry Williams, N. Augusta, SC; sister-in-law, Betty Miles, Greenwood, SC, two uncles, James Miles and Samuel Abney both of Saluda,
SC; aunt, Annette (Theodore) Cherry of Jacksonville, NC; a special cousin, Deloris Nance of Newberry, SC; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of her Life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12 p.m.
Family viewing will be Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home and public viewing will be following the family viewing.
