Fred D Thompson

Greenwood, SC:   Fred D. Thompson of 105 Cemetery Road, the widower of Annette G. Thompson, gained this wings and claimed his room in heaven on Friday, February 23, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Farmville, VA, February 2, 1940, son of the late Walthal and Inez Brown Thompson. He was a high school graduating from the public school system of Farmville, VA.  Fred was a faithful member of Dunham Temple CME Church.  He was a retired Truck Driver and Bus Driver. 

He is survived by; three sisters, Louise T. Burnside of Farmville, VA, Leanna Norton of New York and Phyllis Calhoun of North Carolina; a dear friend, Rose Mary Brown of Greenwood, SC; devoted friend, Paul J. Morton of Ninety-Six, SC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A Celebration of life will 12 Noon Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Dunham CME Church with the only viewing beginning at 11 a.m. at the church until the hour of service. Burial will follow in the Evening Star Cemetery.

No visitation at the home.
