George Frank Weaver

George Frank Weaver of Greensboro, North Carolina, 82, peacefully received his wings on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Edgefield, South Carolina on November 2, 1942 as the second son of the late Joe Northern and Tweetie Stevens Weaver.  At an early age, George attended Willow Spring Baptist Church, where he joined and became a member and was later baptized.

He received his education in the Edgefield, South Carolina school system.  George faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  After leaving the US Army he became a truck driver, traveling all over the United States for over fifty years. George loved eating all healthy foods including vegetarian and vegan style, no meat included! That’s what enhanced his lifestyle for eating.  One of his most famous phrases was, “If it’s got a head on it, I don’t want any of it”. George was always involved in healthy conversations from a host of people, where he  sought out and absorbed information pertaining to his healthy lifestyle.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Joe Roger Weaver, Floyd Tyrone Weaver, Vivian Weaver Jackson and Dorothy W. Guess.

George leaves to cherish in loving memories, his daughter, Shirley Rozier and granddaughter, Brianna Nicole Rozier both of San Antonio, TX; his sisters, Sarah V. Lindsey of Columbia, SC,  Barbara (Bennie) McGrath of Saluda, SC and Delores M. Weaver of Columbia, SC and; a fiancée, Juanita Cash of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law, Gloria Weaver of Philadelphia, PA;  and also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Please lift the family up in prayer when you pray that God will comfort their hearts during this trying time in their lives.
