Saluda, SC:   Gloria Elaine Hendley, 61, of 109 Dry Dock Circle, passed away on Monday, August, 22, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Saluda, SC, July 23, 1961, daughter of the late Otis Cleveland Jr. and Betty Butler Wells. She received her education in the public schools of Saluda Conty, SC., 

At an early age, she joined Crossroad AME Church (Wateree AME Church) where she was a faithful member singing in the Crossroad Choir. During her working life she worked as a Healthcare Worker.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Angley Lavon Wells.

She leaves to honor and cherish her precious memory; daughter, Carolyn Pace of the home; sisters, Sheila (Kenneth) Padgett of Johnston, SC and Christel Power of Greenville, SC; two brothers, James (Bobo) Wells of Ninety-six, SC and Clifford Wells (Tonya) of Saluda, SC; godson, Elijah Smith of Saluda, SC; aunts, Janie Bell Wells of Aiken, SC and Nellie Christie of Saluda, SC; uncles, George D. Wells (Mary) of Camden, SC and Johnny Miles  of Ninety-six, SC; and a host of nieces, nephes, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The family is at home of her niece, Latifia Farrow-Hill, 115 Twisted Hill Ct., Saluda, SC.
