Grace Helen Dukes Weaver

Johnston, SC:  Grace Helen Dukes Weaver, 93, formerly of Saluda, SC, passed from this life into eternal rest, Thursday evening, February 23, 2023, at the home of her daughter, Doris (Dennis)  Sullivan, 250 Beech Creek Road, Johnston, SC.

She was born in Edgefield, SC, on October 8, 1929, daughter of the late Clarence and Carrie Jordon Dukes. She received her education in the public schools of Edgefield County, SC.  She was a member of Lockhart Baptist Church. During her working life she worked at Saluda Knitting Mill.

She leaves to cherish her memory; daughters, Doris (Dennis) Sullivan of Johnston, SC and Reverend Pamela D. Weaver of Saluda, SC; sons, Willie Robert (Patricia) Weaver of Saluda, SC and Fredrick (Loretta) Weaver, of Monetta, SC; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence (Addy) Dukes of Passaic, NJ and John Dukes of Garfield, NJ; sister, Lillie White (John) of Aiken, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Doris (Dennis) Sullivan, 250 Beech Creek Road, Johnston, SC.

Celebration of Her Life will be 12 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Lockhart Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, Reverend Herman Jenkins with others assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
