Saluda, SC:  Gussie Elaine Stevens, 57, of 1051 Salem Branch Road, departed this life, Sunday, June 11, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Washington, DC, on Septembe 24, 1965, daughter of the late Raymond and Sophie Lou Minick Stevens. She was a graduate of Ballou High School, Washington, DC.  She was a member of True Testament of Jesus Christ.  During her working years she worked at Andrews Air Force Base.

She is survived by; son, Charles Daniel Parker, Jr. of the home; daughter, Stephanie Edna Leora Parker of the home; brother, Ronnie Wiley of Virginia; God-son, Kalvin Jamal Casey of District Heights, MD God-sister, Jewel (Adrian) Penland of Braselton, GA; God-brothers, Reginald (Savi) Stevens, Charlotte, NC, Jerome (Toni) Monk of Waldorf, MD; aunts, Shirley (Carl) Pugh of Saluda, SC and Dusker (Robert) King of Milledgeville, GA; uncles, Clarance (Sara) Williams of Seat Pleasant, MD, Vannie Williams, Richard Bugg and Oscar (Narlene) Stevens of Saluda, SC, Jonathan (Veronica) Stevens of Blythewood, SC; other close relatives and sorrowing friends.

A Celebration of Life will 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.

Family Viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Friday and public viewing will be 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
