Howard Boyd
Newberry, SC: Howard Boyd went home to be with the Lord on July 30th, 2020. He was born December 3rd, 1951 to the late Sam Boyd and Lola Mae Caldwell in Prosperity S.C. He was reared in the home of his grandparents, the late Cleo and Brucie Pitts Caldwell.
Howard received his education in the public schools of Newark, N.J. During his working life he worked various jobs like Truck Driving, Mechanic, Landscaping, Painting and basically a little bit of everything.
He enjoyed watching the Oakland Raiders football team, fishing, music, movies and being around his family.
He is proceeded in death by his son Howard Boyd, Jr; his Grandson - Anthony Davis; His maternal grandparents Cleo and Brucie Caldwell; His paternal grandparents Reverend David and Frances Boyd.
Howard leaves to cherish and to honor his memory; sons, Howard Jacobi Boyd, Howard Anthony Terry, Gabriel Boyd; daughters, Tasha Terry, Jean Mitchell, and Patrice Gallman; sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Vickie Boyd and Samantha Boyd; brothers, Danny Boyd and Gregory (Evelyn) Boyd;. aunts and uncles (That he was raised in the home with like sisters and brothers), Juanita Abrams, Dorothy Caldwell, Betty(Horace) Hare, Annielue Praylow, Jarline Sims; Bobby Caldwell, Cleo Caldwell, Aaron (Linda) Caldwell; two aunts, Mary Threatt and Cora Smith; nieces nephews other relatives and sorrowing friends
A Memorial Service to honor his life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Mt. Moriah AME Church Cemetery, 1628 Ira Kinard Road, Prosperity, SC conducted by Reverend Lee H. Ouzts.
