Howard Eugene Grant

Johnston, SC: Howard Eugene Grant departed this life on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in the University Hospital, Augusta, GA.

He was born in Jamaica, New York, January 30, 1963, son of Reverend Annie Bell Burton Grant and the late Leroy Grant, Sr.  He was a 1981 graduate of Springfield Garden High School, Jamaica, NY and he did further studies at Hunter College, New York, NY and Tron's Junior College, Savannah, GA. He was baptized at New Star Baptist Church in Jamaica, NY. After moving to Saluda/Johnston, South Carolina he attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and he also gained employment with Milliken as a Machine Tech for twenty-six years.

Howard leaves to cherish and honor his memory; his mother, Rev. Annie Bell Burton Grant of Johnston, SC; daughter, Holly Williams of Jamaica, NY; grandson, Aubrey Howard Blades of Jamaica, NY; brothers, Leroy (Denise) Grant, Jr. of Yaphank, NY, Donald (Jackie) Grant, Gettysburg, MD and Duane (Okeya) Grant of Hempstead, NY; sister, Tracey Ann Grant of Brentwood, NY; special friend, Ronica Williams and her children, Akeem Bilal and Alijah Bilal of North Augusta, SC; three special family members, Niesha,  Zacury and Keonie Bush; five aunts, three uncles; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The family is at the home of his mother, Reverend Annie Bell Burton Grant, 192 Burton Road, Johnston, SC.
