James Anderson

Lexington, SC:  Mr. James Anderson of 157 Glenda Court, the widow of Ethel Mae Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Saluda, SC, son of the late Carrie Anderson Pickens. He was a member of the Harts Spring Baptist Church. He was a construction worker. He was married to the Ethel Mae Jones Anderson who preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Sinclair Anderson, Willie Anderson, Chester Anderson, Sallie Mae Squire, Henry W. Anderson and Octavia Kinard.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Stephanie Anderson of Dunkirk, NY and Angela Anderson of Silver Springs, Md; stepson, Freddie (Carly) Jones of Hagerstown, MD; step-daughter, Jacqueline (Bill) Evans of Lexington, SC; 9 grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Hattie Coates of Edgefield, SC and Queen Copeland of Ridge Spring, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday,  August 17, 2019 at New Salem CME Church conducted by Reverend Annette Mathis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.

Viewing will 3-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family is at the home.
