Mr. James Henry Bledsoe

Saluda, SC: Mr. James Henry Bledsoe, 67, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 in Saluda Nursing Center.

He was born in Saluda County, SC, son of the late Minnie Lee Bletcher  and the late John H. Williams, Sr.. He received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina. He worked most of his working life in Logging where he worked for Jackson Brothers Logging. He was of Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by son, Jamie Bletcher; siblings, Willie M. Bletcher, Eddie J. Bletcher, Charlie Bledsoe, Clarence Bletcher, John Henry Williams, Jr., and Henry J. Williams, Marie Williams Bletcher and Johnnie Mae Long.

He is survived by; his wife, Martha M. Bledsoe of Saluda, SC; two daughters, Denise Bletcher of Saluda, SC and Felisha Bletcher of Johnston, SC; seven grandchildren;  brothers, Johnnie B. (Lillie Mae) Bledsoe, John L. Williams, Ernest Williams, Rudy Williams and Ronnie Williams all of Saluda, SC, Otis Williams of New York, Odell Williams, Washington, DC and Cordell Williams, Maryland;  one aunt, Elester Bletcher of Johnston, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friend whom will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life and burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Mine Creek Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Johnny Peterson with others assisting. 

The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.

Viewing will be Monday at the Funeral Home 1-8 p.m

The family is at the home of his daughter. Denise Bletcher, 126 Perrry Road, Saluda, SC.
