Columbia, SC: James Brodus Coleman, 80, formerly of Saluda, SC, the husband of Daisy Etheredge Coleman passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Lexington Medical Center.
He was born in Saluda County, SC , June 11, 1945, son of the late Eddie Coleman, Sr. and the late Emma Bell Stevens Coleman Carroll. He was a graduate of Twin City High School. Early in life he joined Lockhart Baptist Church and later he became of a member of Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Saluda, SC. He worked at Adams Plant, Ninety Six, for 25 years and three years at Eaton and he retired. He was a hardworking man with few words.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Willie Coleman, Maxie Coleman, Eddie Coleman, Robert (Mann) Carroll and Floyd Samuel Carroll.
He was married to Daisy Etheredge Coleman and this union was blessed fourteen children, seven sons and seven daughters.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Daisy E. Coleman of Columbia, SC; daughters, Chelisa (Darron) Jackson, Blythewood, SC, Shanna Coleman, Melinda (Kenneth) Jackson, Tessa Coleman, Victoria (Derrick) Belton and Adrain Coleman (Terrance) all of Columbia, SC and Kristie Coleman of Batesburg, SC; sons, James (Natasha) Coleman and David Coleman both of Columbia, SC, Timothy (Varonda) Coleman Batesburg, SC, Mitchell (Alicia) Coleman, Greenville, SC, Daniel Coleman (Nicole), Greenwood, SC, Jonah Coleman, Gaston, SC, Josiah (Chelsea) Coleman, Henderson, Kentucky; two sisters, Clementine C. Smith, Saluda, SC and Linda C. Gilliard, Hartsville, SC; brother, John (Shirley) Coleman, San Antonio, TX; 46 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; two sister-in-law. Cheryl a. Carroll, Saluda, SC and Lucille Anderson, Ridge Spring, SC; brother-in-law, James Etheredge, Saluda, SC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.
