James Eddie (Man) Jones
Johnston, SC: James Eddie (Man) Jones, 72, formerly of 112 Hill Drive, Saluda, SC, departed this life on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the home of his grandson, Quincy (Erika) Herman.
He was born in Saluda County, SC, son of the late Eddie and Louise Smith Jones on May 4, 1950. He was educated in the public schools of Saluda County, SC. He was of Baptist Faith.
He was a retired machine operator in the Construction Industry. He was a hard worker. He love to Fish and attend his Garden.
Man as he was affectionately called by his family and friends and he will be dearly missed by all of who knew and loved him. His memory will forever be in our hearts.
He leaves to honor and cherish his memory; step-daughters, (devoted) Julia Herman of Saluda, SC, Tamika Clark, Valerie Clark, and LaKiesha Clark all of Johnston, SC; step-sons, Jacob Herman and Sherome (Valerie) Clark both of Saluda, SC; brother, George Jones of Saluda, SC; two sisters, Mahalia Jones and Loraine Morris both of Saluda, SC; caretaker/devoted grandson, Quincy Erika) Herman of Johnston, SC and six other grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Eloise Williams of Saluda, SC; brother-in-law, Robert Boyd of Ridge Spring, SC; two aunts, Annie Laura Smith of Saluda, SC and Evelyn Williams of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by children, Paul Williams, Mary Herman and Angela Herman; siblings, Joe Ben Harrison, Harrison Jones, Frances Jones, Mary Ella Boyd and Elizabeth S. Morris.
A Homegoing Celebration will held Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 2 p.m. Lockhart Baptist Church with the pastor Reverend Herman N. Jenkins, presiding and Reverend Annette Mathis - Eulogist and others assisting. The body will be placed in the Church at 1 p.m.
Viewing will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the funeral home 1-6 p.m.
The family is at the home Quincy (Erika) Herman 85 Simpkins Road, Johnston, SC.
