Mr. James Henry Etheredge, Jr.
Mr. James Henry Etheredge Jr. also known as ”Kirk”, of 122 Dorchester Street, Greenwood, SC entered into eternal rest Monday morning, February 7, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Greenwood, SC, on May 4, 1969, son of the late James Henry Etheredge, Sr. and Thelma Reeder Etheredge. At an early age, he joined Pine Pleasant Baptist Church.
James was a beloved husband and father. His unwavering love and dedication extended beyond himself, through his family and also through the lives he had gracefully just met. James revealed his beautiful shining spirit with his laughter and kindness whenever he interacted with family and friends.
James Henry “Junior” Etheredge graduated from Ninety-Six High School in 1987. At the age of 18, James enlisted into the United States Army as a Food Service Specialist. Then later served as Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic until the year of 1999. “Junior” furthered his career through different endeavors, the last in which he held a respected position at Cardinal Health for over 17 years.
Everyone who met James had the blessing to experience his beautiful kind hearted spirit. He expressed this spirit through cooking delicious meals and desserts, or fixing and repairing something that was broken. It was second nature to James to lend a helping hand to assist the ones who were close to him and the people that he loved. Through the grace of God, The limit of his strength knew no bounds, because he was an impeccable man that could endure any stressful challenge or trial on his own.
James Etheredge was a hard working man, a devoted husband, a loving and caring father, a man who enjoyed the company of all his family. The day he departed from this life is a devastating loss to all he knew, but he lives on in Heaven through eternal rest.
James “Junior” leaves to cherish and honor his memory; wife, Kimberly B. Etheredge; son, Devin S. Etheredge., Newark, NJ; son, Eian J. Etheredge, Greenwood; daughter, Erin A. Etheredge., Greenwood; sisters, Darcy Reeder, Brooklyn NY, Lisa Bowie (Loren), Greenville SC; mother-in-law; Sarah L. Watts, (Brawley); brothers-in-law, Joey White, Rodney White, Mark White; sisters-in-law; Sharon White, and Sabrina White; fifve uncles, Reverend Dr. Ernest Etheredge (Gwen), Charles Etheredge Sarah), Sam Etheredge, Jr. (Kimberly), Melvin Etheredge and Aubury Bosket; two aunts, Annie Lee Etheredge and Rebecca Etheredge; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends.
