Saluda, SC : James Kennedy (Jake) Jones age 60 of Saluda, South Carolina was called home for eternal rest on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022 at 3:00 a.m.  at the Lexington Medical Center after a battle with cancer.  Although he will be missed here on earth, the Angels and Saints of God are rejoicing in heaven that another one of God’s children had made it home. James was born in Saluda to the late Eugene (Thelma) Smith and Ms. Queenie Copeland on Feb. 23, 1962.  At an early age he moved to Washington, DC with family and stayed for many years before returning to South Carolina

James was a very quiet person and always had a warm smile on his face every time you saw him.

In addition to his father and grandparents, James was preceded in death by his wife; Pamela Rosser Jones; siblings,  Stevie Jones, Eugene Smith, Willie Smith, Charlie Frank Smith and J W. Smith; and one brother-in-law; Tony Rosser.
