Janie Simpkins Holloway

Saluda, SC:  Janie Simpkins Holloway, 80, passed Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Saluda Nursing Center.

She was born in Saluda, SC, July 10, 1936, the only child of the late Lidie Simpkins Coleman and the late Frank Mobley. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist and the Woman's Home Aide Society #126. She was married to the late Milledge Holloway. She was the mother of ten children; two children, Nora Jean Holloway and Darlene Holloway and step-father, Willie C. Coleman preceded her in death.

She is survived by; sons, James Holloway, Greenwood, SC, Curtis Holloway (Betty) and Don Holloway (Mary) both of Johnston, SC and Jerome Holloway (Addie) of Graniteville, SC; daughters, Gloria Jean Holloway, Debra Holloway (Andrew) and Kimberly Abney (Al) all of Saluda, SC and Patricia Bussey (Carl) of Aiken, SC; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; one aunt, Rebecca Henley of Saluda, SC: and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Celebration of Life will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday 5/14/17 at the Antioch Baptist Church conducted by Rev. RC Olgesby. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Viewing will be Saturday at the funeral home 1-8 p.m.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Kim and Al Abney 490 Medical Park Road, Saluda, SC.
