Jennie Beth Key Williams

McCormick, SC:   Jennie Beth Key Williams, 79, of 512 378 West, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in Self Regional Healthcare.

She was born in Edgefield, SC, April 2, 1943, daughter of the late William and Della Stidom Key. She received her education in the public schools of Edgefield County, SC. 

At an early age, she joined Springfield Baptist Church where she served faithful when her health would allow. She was a member of the Senior Choir and the Shape Note Singing Convention Choir. She was the baby-sister for the family and  children in the community. She will be missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings, J.W. Key, Willie D. Key, Roosevelt Key, Robert L. Key, Mattie Key Jones, Maggie D. Abram, Beatrice Key Martin and Emma D. Key.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; son, Thomas (Skit) Key of the home; daughter Patricia Key Allen (James) of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren, Marquitta Mims (Benjamin), Lakeisha Key-Huggins, Tamara Price and Quantavious Key; six great grandchildren; sister, Josie Mae Gilchrist of Edgefield, SC; God-daughter, Nora Callaham (Thomas) of Greenwood, SC;  host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Springfield Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Darren Jones - Eulogist, Reverend Michele Cummings, presiding and others assisting.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. 

Family viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Friday and public viewing 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
