Jessie Mae Coleman Davis

Aiken, SC:  Jessie Mae Davis, 77,  of 108 Candy Lane, the widower of Henry Arthur Davis transitioned from this life into eternal rest on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Edgefield, SC on August 9,1946, daughter of the late Mattie Mae Coleman and the late Claude Coates, Sr. 

At an early age, she joined Willow Spring Baptist Church. She received her education in the public schools of Edgefield County, SC where she graduated  from W.E. Parker High School in 1964. During her working life she worked as a Patient Care Assistant. 

She was married to Henry Albert Davis who preceded her in death. To this union two daughters were born.

In addition to her parents, husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Davis.

She leaves precious memories in the hearts of; her daughter, Patrice Davis of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Kadisha, Zakiya, Jyneil, Lewis and Jahkeyvius; brothers, Bobby (Pamela) Coleman, Maryland, Jimmy Coleman, Richard (Marinda) Coates, Edward Coates, Claude Coates, Jr. all of Edgefield, SC, Freddie Coates, Columbia, SC, James (Ida) Coates, Saluda, SC, George Coates, Greenwood, SC and Thomas Coates, Johnston, SC; sisters, Joan (Theodore) Young, Edgefield, SC, Shirley Coates, Aiken, SC and Rosetta C. Williams, Edgefield, SC; god-mother, Hattie Coates, Edgefield, SC; one aunt, Shirley Moore, of Edgefield, SC; one brother-in-law, Mose (Maggie) Davis of Saluda, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
