Joe Arthur Holloway

Saluda, SC:  Joe Arthur (Bobo) Holloway passed away on Tuesday night, May 10, 2022, in Saluda Nursing Center.

He was born in Saluda, SC, on February 4, 1947, son of the late Tommy and Ora Lee Davis Holloway. He received his education in the public schools of Saluda, South Carolina. At an early age, he joined Antioch Baptist Church where he attended regularly until going into the Nursing Home. During his working life, he worked in Textile Industry until he became disable over forty years ago due to an accident.

He was married to Bertha Waldrop Holloway.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Detrick Martez Holloway; siblings, Johnny Holloway, Tommy Holloway, Jr., Zola Myers and Georgia Lee Smith.

He leaves to cherish and honor his memory; his wife, Bertha Waldrop Holloway of Ninety-Six, SC; sons, Donterius Holloway and Craig Holloway; step-daughter, Sherry Terry of Ninety-Six, SC; ten grandchildren and number of great grandchildren; sister, Eva Mae Murphy of Hempstead, NY; devoted nieces, Helen Watkins, Faye Hall and Betty (Johnny) Dobbs all of Saluda, SC; five sisters-in-law; other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and sorrowing friends to mourn his passing.

Celebration of Life will 1 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2022 at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Carmilla Simpkins, presiding and Reverend Annette Mathis - Eulogist. The body will be placed in the church at 12 p.m.

Viewing will be Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the funeral home 1-6 p.m.
