Greenwood, SC: Josie Lee Warren, 69, passed from this life into eternal rest, Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Wesley Common Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Edgefield, SC, November 21, 1953, daughter of the late Chris Sr. and Trula Whatley Warren. at an early age, she joined Liberty Spring Baptist Church and she attended Strom Thurmond High School.  Most of her working life she worked as a machine operator in the Textile Industry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Chris Warren, Jr., Robert Warren, Sammie Lee Warren, Claudean Warren, Elizabeth Warren and Mary Lean Warren.

Josie leaves to honor and cherish her memory; son, Levester (Cynthia) Warren of Saluda, SC, Jalisha Warren of Greenwood, SC; brother, William (Lindie) Warren of Edgefield, SC; sister, Janie Mae Stevens of Clearwater, SC; grandchildren, Khadijah Warren, Dasia Warren and Demetrous Warren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Liberty Spring Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Reverend Donnie Kennedy will be presiding, Reverend Jimmy Gilchrist - Eulogist and others assisting.

Family viewing will be 2-2:30 p.m. Tuesday and public viewing until 6 p.m.

The family will be receiving friends at 305 Moores Drive, Edgefield, SC on Monday and Tuesday time 3-8 p.m. and other times they will be at their respective homes.

Please pray for this family as they go through their hour of bereavement.
